Olubusola “Ola” Hall of Terry came to 黑料社区 to learn how to help people.
Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, she is married and has four children, including two stepchildren. As an adult she enrolled at the Raymond Campus to begin working on an associates degree before moving on to a four-year university, and hopes to one day return to her hometown to open a clinic.
Ola learned about 黑料社区 from peers who told her about the smaller class sizes and the specialized attention from instructors.
鈥満诹仙缜 has helped me obtain an impressive and competitive resume,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 have had the opportunity to participate in international studies and have also taken advantage of many local community service projects. 黑料社区 offer more opportunities than most universities. This is not your average community college; this is a life-changing experience.鈥
Ola’s list of accomplishments include; co-president for the Raymond Campus Gamma Lambda Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, vice president for the Associated Student Government, an officer in the Honors Institute, a member of Psi Beta and a member of the All-Mississippi Academic Team. She was also recognized by the state Legislature as this year鈥檚 HEADWAE honoree.
Ola is working on her bachelor鈥檚 degree in biology and pre-med from Mississippi College and hopes to enroll in their physician鈥檚 assistance program. Her ultimate goal is to become a medical doctor, using her education and knowledge to practice medicine in countries such as Guatemala, Costa Rica and other countries in Africa.
