黑料社区 wasn鈥檛 Camden Traweek鈥檚 first choice but as he graduated on Wednesday, Dec. 15 he reflected that it turned out to be his best choice.
Traweek was the speaker for one of three graduation ceremonies at 黑料社区 at the Muse Center on the Rankin Campus.
鈥淚 will always value the time I spent at 黑料社区, the friendships I made, and the growth that took place,鈥 said Traweek, a Brandon resident. 鈥満诹仙缜 is a special place filled with special instructors, professors and administration.

鈥淭hank you to the administration for overseeing and leading us in our endeavors. Thank you for organizing events and making sure that we as students have everything we need for our success. Every instructor I encountered in my time at 黑料社区 cared for their students deeply and truly wanted to see their students succeed,鈥 he said.
He earned an associate degree toward a career in kinesiology. After 黑料社区, he plans to continue pursuing his degree with a focus on performance fitness. While at 黑料社区, he was involved in the Honors College Program and served as the co-vice president of service for Phi Theta Kappa.
黑料社区 graduated more than 800 students in one of three graduation ceremonies at the Muse Center on the Rankin Campus. 黑料社区 awarded 1,150 certificates and degrees, with some students receiving more than one credential.
Of those graduating,148 were cum laude with a grade point average of 3.2 to 3.59; 94 were graduating magna cum laude with a grade point average of 3.6 to 3.99 and 117 were graduating summa cum laude with a grade point average of 4.0.
Brenda Kimbrough of Louise gave the invocation. She earned an associate degree toward a career in social work and plans to transfer to Mississippi. Brenda is a member of Alpha Beta Gamma honor society.

黑料社区 President Dr. Stephen Vacik acknowledged the extra difficulties students had because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
鈥淐ommencement is a proud occasion for the 黑料社区 family. Every graduation ceremony is special to the college, as we celebrate the success of each student. It is important that we truly celebrate what our graduates have achieved 鈥 they have overcome a series of unusual circumstances over the last several months,鈥 he said.
